We all take our ability to open our taps and get clean, drinking water for granted. This is not the case for millions across the world and we are extremely privileged to be able to do so. During this blessed month and especially these last 10 nights, MSA ‘Ibn Firnas’ would like to help bring clean water to those who need it.
Through the international and reputable charity Muslim Hands based in the UK with years of experience with these projects, ‘Ibn Firnas’ will be raising money for a well in The Gambia, a small Muslim country of two million in western Africa. You can read more about Muslim Hands and their projects here.
As an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) and legacy, ‘Ibn Firnas’ will donate half the costs of the well on behalf of her members. To build a well, we need €770, of which ‘Ibn Firnas’ will contribute half towards.
Please note that it may take up to 9-12 months before completion of the well due to logistical challenges. You will be kept up to date through our social media pages.
Goal Reached!
Thanks to your support we beat our goal and were able to pay for the construction of two wells in The Gambia! We raised a total of €1097 through our website and Tikkies and when adding our own promised contribution (with a bit more), we have transferred the money for two wells to Muslim Hands. You can follow our social media pages for updates.
For full financial disclosure and transparency, you can verify the amounts raised in the images to the right and below.
