WHAT WE STAND FOR

Community

By being a part of the student association Ibn Firnas, you make it possible for us to finance and maintain the prayer rooms in TU Delft. Currently, there are two permanent prayer rooms and one hall for the weekly Jumuah prayer. As a member, your contribution allows us to organise events for you and your fellow students.

Furthermore, you can avail of large discounts on our activities and from our sponsors. You will regularly be informed of any upcoming activities and will have the opportunity to further develop yourself in areas alongside your studies, as well as meet and socialise with your fellow students!

Integration

Ibn Firnas is known for the fact that it brings together people from various backgrounds. It is said that international students often don't join student associations as most of them are Dutch-speaking and have a different target audience. Here at Ibn Firnas, we welcome everyone - not to say that that isn't the case with other student associations.

Our uniqueness and strength is in our diversity; we pride ourselves on the multitude of various nationalities and cultural backgrounds we represent in Delft. Whether you're an incoming freshman or a PhD, our unity gives us the motivation and strength to continue our work.

Support

With your support, it is possible for us to continue to facilitate and represent Muslim students at TU Delft. Amongst the things made possible and organised by us are the campus prayer facilities and Jumuah, Iftar in Ramadan, and weekly football. We also host regular company visits, educational lectures and extracurricular lessons and courses.

Alongside our work at TU Delft, we are active and engaged in the local community. We provide workshops, scientific lessons and tutoring at primary schools. We also support high school students with exam training with the hope of soon welcoming them at university.
